Skinzone is a leading supplier of vinyl stickers for consumer electronics (smartphones, notebooks, etc.) with a heavy-duty protective lamination with a UV filter that can be applied to any device with a flat surface, to express one's passion and keep the device free of bumps and scratches.

The business need

Skinzone came to us with a request for a website redesign. Their current website was decent, but they suspected that it didn't perform optimally. Their main reasons for a redesign were to get more traffic/sales and make the website more user-friendly. Updating the dated look and feel was in order as well.

The challenge

The main challenge was the sheer number of the options. With 1 200+ motives in 43 categories and 2 500+ devices to choose from the usability had to work. The current site did a bad job of helping visitors choose.

The solution

First came information architecture so that users could intuitively navigate throughout the site and choose their preferred motives with no pain. We then proceeded with sketching and wireframing.

Results

The client was delighted not only by the design, but with the statistics after the launch. The traffic to the website increased more than 8 times. This was coupled with a similar increase in orders. Users also view more than 10 pages, and the bounce rate is at 35%. The company now operates in 13 countries and is planning to expand even more.
